SOLO Damnation level gameplay using the Rifthaven Mk II Purgatus Force Staff and Illisi Mk V Blaze Force Sword.
I did it... I finally caved. I installed a mod. Maybe this has broken the seal and the mod floodgates will open, maybe not. For now I'm just going to enjoy the challenge of solo play and maybe grab the re-roll until rarity mod.
The gameplay itself was notably harder, which is to be expected as my squad is full of bots. I found myself having to consciously think about my gameplay decisions a lot more, whereas normally I'm in autopilot. One slip and your bot squad will be overwhelmed very easily, leaving you floundering with coherency. I'm not sure Damnation without low-intensity is possible without the bots (for Coherency), but I'll be sure to give it a try at some point, as well as giving Low-Intensity Damnation a shot without bots too.
Its sad that someone external from the developers made a mod for it, before they implemented it into their game like they said they would. But oh well.
