Forgot to mention: If you finish the Main story quests through Valencia you get freebie rings that are pretty slick!
CORRECTION: Grunil is not considered best for new players any longer because of its cost and reliance on 4 pieces for set bonuses. The quest chest piece from completing black spirit main quests(Roaring Magical Armor) in combination with one of the 3 piece armor sets(Heve ideally) are ideal for new players and make it much easier to transition into boss armor.
For those going tanky builds, pure Rocaba is not recommended, but rather Tree/Rednose Chest + Muskan shoes, paired with Rocaba Helm/Gloves.
