Solo completion of Grandmaster Nightfall Birthplace of the Vile with Whisper of the Worm on Solar Warlock - Solo Grandmaster - Solo GM - Solo Nightfall - Whisper of the Worm - Dawn Chorus - Platinum Rank - Gilded Conqueror - Solo Conqueror - How to Complete Birthplace of the Vile Guide - Solar Warlock Build - Season of the Wish - Destiny 2 Lightfall.
Whisper of the Worm was buffed a bit and it is now craftable so I decided to use it in a solo GM run. It works great against Champions and any target at range, ammo economy is good and overall it is a good weapon, and I have had a lot of fun in this run. Having said that, the Boss room is tiny and it is hard to take advantage of it. Still I think that even though Whisper is definitely a great weapon, it just has different purpose, such as raid/dungeon boss DPS.
As for the rest of the build, it's a pretty standard Solar Warlock with Dawn Chorus with solar weapon (Tyranny of Heaven), healing grenades and Ember of Empyrean. Combination of all those with solar artifact perks does wonders and help a lot with both add clear and survivability. I opted for Icarus Dash this time around to rotate around the boss room quicker. Lastly, I have a kinetic pulse rifle (Chattering Bone) to deal with Overload Champions.
