buildlink if u dont wanna watch the video:

gameplay shown in the video is not exactly incredible, it shows casual gameplay with lots of mistakes, which really drives home how strong the build actually really is
We get to use ritualists compared to vipers at an almost no cost to our dps which helps us keep most of our boons permanently, there is no additional synergy in the build that makes us benefit from critting over just having slightly more direct damage due to a crit happening
This build is not the highest possible damage a similar build can do, but its more catered towards playing more comfortably. Taking middle bottom trait for example is a dps increase with some adjustments on how you keep up quickness, but its less fun and a lot more thinking involved
as for nourys relic
Nourys give you a stacking buff, at 10 stacks you transform and deal more damage and heal for a percentage of damage you apply
this relic is extremely strong on mesmer due to a single reason
when phantasms with boons despawn while you have the persistence of memory trait, it gives you a stack for each despawning phantasm
so we get the buff very quickly due to chronophantasma, incredible relic for us to have
problem arises because of the transformation part
mesmers cant spawn phantasms(through chronophantasma) AND clones with a lot of transformation effects in the game, which includes nourys relic. the only clone we can spawn while the transformation is up is staff 2
thats why we use any combat tonic to make sure we dont get the transformation from nourys relic
we still get the buff, we just dont get a transformation forced on us that makes it not work on mesmer due to bugs
anet could potentially fix the transformation bug in the future, in the meantime here is a list of combat tonics u can get(most of them on the wiki list work), my personal recommendation is miniature tonic
wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Category:Combat_tonics
wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Endless_Miniature_Tonic
you can decide to not run nourys relic in this build and run akeem relic for example, but it is a significant drop in the performance of the build. but overall the build would still function while not having to use a combat tonic, the sustain would significantly drop though
i am typing this in the description cause its very lengthy and would clutter the video with even more useless information that we dont really need more of ^^ (i already yap a lot about random stuff)
anyways thanks for watching or reading... or both..!
