A recording of the June 2024 evening siren test at Solenis' Low Moor works. This is the Klaxon ES2S on New Works Road.
The tests here take place every 6 months, on the first Thursday of June and December each year, and run twice on each test day - at 10am, and again at 8pm. Each test lasts approximately one minute, and uses the default Klaxon dual-tone "wail", which starts and ends fairly abruptly. As with my previous visit in December 2023, I recorded the second test of the day, and again filmed the siren at the south of the site, on New Works Road. I had originally planned to record the other siren, on Cleckheaton Road, at 10am, and therefore have both sirens in the same video, but delays to trains meant I didn't get to Low Moor in time.
