Soldiers assigned to the 1st Infantry Division receive weapons instruction during an Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Soldier Badge and Expert Field Medical Badge (E3B) train-up at Fort Riley, Kansas.

The train-up prepares candidates for E3B testing by providing instruction from previously qualified badge holders on testing standards, evaluation criteria and the weapon systems required to successfully complete the qualification process.

This grueling combined event tests candidates on physical fitness, combat-relevant warrior tasks, weapon proficiency, medical skills, and land navigation.
