In this video I show you how I built a solar eclipse data logging device.

We all know that it gets dark outside when the moon covers the sun, but did you know that there is a significant drop in temperature too? I didn't! This new found knowledge inspired me to build a real time temperature and light level logging device. I used an Arduino Nano, SD card module, DS1307 temperature and humidity sensor, and a photo resistor.
Arduino Nano ($2.34)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_BIN=1&_sop=15&_nkw=Arduino%20Nano&_dcat=182412&rt=nc&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=2.3&_udhi
SD card module ($0.54)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=Arduino+SD+card&_sop=15&LH_BIN=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Arduino+SD+card+5pcs&_sacat=0
DS1307 Real time clock ($0.52)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=DS1307+5pcs&_sop=15&LH_BIN=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=DS1307&_sacat=0
DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor ($0.71)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=DHT11&_sop=15&LH_BIN=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=DHT11+5pcs&_sacat=0
Photo resistor ($0.07)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=photo+resistor&_sop=15&LH_BIN=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=photo+resistor+100pcs&_sacat=0
400 tie point breadboard ($1.11)ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=photo+resistor+100pcs&_sop=15&_mPrRngCbx=1&LH_BIN=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=400+tie+point+breadboard&_sacat=0
