All Things 3D | Solar Eclipse 2107 in 360 Stereo using the VUZE Camera in Portland, OR @allthings3d | Uploaded 7 years ago | Updated 15 hours ago
I had high hopes for the VUZE camera, but due to its non-existent camera controls like aperture, gain or EV control (something both the Instant360 Nano & Samsung 360 offer), I was not able to stop down to allow more detail in the Sun. It is also unfortunate other than some slight dimming, we were far enough North from the path of the 100% eclipse that a passing cloud could have been mistaken for an eclipse. :(
If you interested in how this was shot. I have a seven foot aluminium rod with 1/4" thread opening I was able to use a double ended 1/4" screw allowing me to mount the Vuze. I then left it recording for 110 minutes, the trimmed to the 14 minutes you see here.
