What is Sola Scriptura and what does Sola Scriptura mean? Sola Scriptura is the Christian perspective or belief that the Word of God ie the Bible is the infallible inspired ultimate final authority on doctrine and daily practice for Christian’s today to test truth from error, traditions, creeds, councils, denominations, cults, religions, and whatever else on what is true or false. This includes testing and examining Roman Catholics, Mormons ie Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Islam, Orthodox, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals, and what pastors teach today on doctrine. Sola Scriptura simply means that it is the standard for truth and doctrine from what Jesus Christ taught, what he apostles and prophets taught, namely the Bible, and how to examine what people teach and claim today.
