“Hey! I’m sol williams, an 18 year old aspiring singer/songwriter and from Toronto. I’ve always loved to sing, and music’s been a huge part of my life, and definitely my greatest passion. But I was a voracious reader growing up, which gave me a passion for writing and storytelling as well. I used to write silly songs off and on when I was really young (there was a great song about dolphins in second grade) but I never took it seriously. Eventually, I kind of just forgot about it.
It wasn’t until last January that I seriously sat down with my guitar and wrote a song that I liked, and decided to share. It was inspired by the book and film “Call Me by Your Name” and I wanted to share the song with fellow fans. People seemed to like “hazy” so that gave me inspiration to keep writing more music, and I haven’t looked back since. I love writing it because it’s therapeutic, and I get to share some of my art with the few willing to listen. Even having a small audience is super rewarding. “never be enough” is the most personal song I’ve shared so far, and it’s about my experiences with self-doubt and anxiety. People have really seemed to identify with it, and that’s something really special that makes me think it’s worth it to keep sharing music. And I definitely will!” - Sol Williams

i wish it were bright
well i guess, i have to get through it
try my best to stop falling behind

everybody seems to know what they want
what they need, and how to get where they want to be
but maybe they’re just hiding how they really feel, and they’re just as lost as me
and i guess, that’s a comforting thought
it hurts less when you’re not alone in this mess
and if i fail, which i do
a lot
