Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is the 5th iteration of Guilty Gear XX, released on the arcades 2012. Guilty Gear (ギルティギア) was released by Arc System Works Co Ltd. on the Playstation around 1998, and eventually the other consoles and arcades around 2002. Capcom and SNK dominated the fighting game market with their games, but out of nowhere, Guilty Gear came out with a statement with its beautiful graphics and soundtrack. Ever since then, Arc System Works remained a major player in the fighting game development. They even ventured into 3d, creating the best looking cel-shaded game of its time, Guilty Gear Xrd--that is, until they tied up with Bandai Namco to create the critically acclaimed Dragon Ball Fighter Z.
