Softube Flow Studio is a compact control surface that pairs hands-on knobs with over 100 pre-built signal chains. Five knobs, three modes, instant sounds for fast work and deeper editing when you want it. Here is our first look.
We fire up Flow Studio to see how the hardware and software system actually plays in a session. The touch-sensitive Analog Feel knobs are macro controls, so a single twist moves several plug-in parameters at once across vocal tuning, delay, reverb, compression, saturation and guitar amps. The central Omni Knob drives all eight macros plus input gain and output volume, and a 4.3-inch colour screen shows metering and EQ curves as you work.
The system ships with the Flow Studio Suite, over 100 signal chains built by working producers and sound designers for vocals, guitars, synths and drums.
Three modes set the pace. DAW Mode handles track volume, pan, solo, mute and sends. Flow Mode works the pre-built chains for quick results. Detail Mode opens up individual plug-ins when you want to go further.
