I show a particular softlock that occurs when Mario repeatedly ledge grabs after having collected a star.

This softlock became extra popular due to SM64 Randomizer, which places stars at random locations. With enough people playing it over a long enough time, people eventually stumbled upon this softlock:

That's how I originally found out about this softlock. From there, I did more investigation into where it could occur and how, and then I made this video documenting it all.
