SOFIA is a Belgium based musician with greek roots and a weak heart for dark and mysterious vibes. Also known as Sofia Anessiadis, not only her real name, also her performing name during the contest of The Voice Van Vlaanderen (2016) where she suprised with inspiring interpretations of Tove Lo's 'Habits', Disclosure's 'Magnets' and made it all the way to the finals.
Next to performing and writing her own music during the past few years, SOFIA also wrote alongside Paul Herman (Faithless, Eminem, Dido, …) in London’s Kensaltown studio’s, and wrote with Gary Miller (David Bowie, George Michael, ...) in LA. She also participted in the famous Black Rock studios writing camp in Santorini (Justin Bieber, One republic, Steve harris,…). That's where 'Wishing For You' was born, co-produced by Thom Bridges (co-writer Yellow Claw, HAEVN, Thirty Seconds To Mars,...)
'Wishing For You' is an edgy, mysterious and poppy dance song full of raw emotions. Imagine yourself being in a black hole, with nothing but your own emotions surrounding you. Every little feeling gets heightened to the point where you cannot hide from yourself.
