YES, I know I accidentally spelled granddaughter wrong. Don't @ me!
It's been a LONG time since I made a speed paint video. I didn't feel like using my screen recording app because I knew it would take a long time and I made this during school hours.
Small backstory:
Haruka was nineteen years old at the time. Ridge and Haruka had been together for almost three years now. Haruka's grandfather, Hakaru, knew this and asked Ridge to have some tea with him alone in his shop. He asks Ridge when he plans on marrying Haruka, which catches him off guard of course. Ridge responds by saying he would like to soon, but he explains the complications of the mortals' traditions that demons don't usually follow (Ridge doesn't like following the demon ways; he loves the way mortals live). Ridge could not buy a ring to even propose to Haruka, to which Hakaru replied happily that he could give Ridge the engagement ring that used to belong to his wife before she passed away. Ridge politely refuses but Hakaru gets the ring and gives it to him anyway and tells him that he doesn't want anything back from Ridge and to just make Haruka happy since he knows Ridge is a strong and caring "young man". He even laughs when Ridge points out that he is way older than him by over a hundred years. Ridge then thanks Hakaru for the tea and ring before he leaves the shop.
