Everything The Internet thinks it knows about the origins and intent of "cringe dialogue," "Marvel humor" or whatever new name it has by the time this video goes up is wrong - but that doesn't mean there isn't something to be learned from WHERE bad media-criticism comes from. Not just to get better at it, but to understand how sometimes "bad analysis" is BAD on purpose - and what shows up later as sloppy ill-informed critique starts out as deliberate and insidious dumbing down ...and no, it still doesn't mean you have to "like" (or dislike!) the talking bracelet game 🤷♂️
