Where to even start, holy moly!! It was incredible and (for the most part) did the musical justice! I can’t wait to listen to the soundtrack and reviews. My little heart fluttered the whole time. I think the best part about watching it with my family was I got closure that my little brother supported the LGBTQ+ community. (I don’t know if he’s apart of it that’s for him to know and if he is then I’d hope he’d feel safe and comfortable enough to tell us.) My youngest brother I’m not so sure about he doesn’t really like to discuss emotions (he’s a ticking bomb tbh), but just knowing that one of my younger brothers supported me made me feel so happy, I’ve had my parents support, my cousins (sorta), my Abuela (I actually have a funny coming out story with her), and of course my friends, my found family. But never really knowing about my brothers, now I really feel a lot more confident with my sexuality. (My gender is a whole other topic lol)

This probably doesn’t make any sense without the visual or the full monologue, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post the entire thing so… enjoy me screaming.
To summarize the short scene my character is in a (Midsommer inspired) cult representing addiction and conformity, I advertise the pills before snapping out of the daze. The other cult members notice and they crowd me, visually implying that they force fed me the medication.

I saw Hadestown last Friday!!! It was so beautiful! Jessie Shelton was filling in as Eurydice that night so I unfortunately didn’t see Eva but it was so cool to see a different take on Eurydice! She did a fantastic job! (As did Yael Reicg and Khailia Wilcoxon, they were filling in that night for 2 of the Fates)
Hadestown is one show I can’t recommend more, it’s absolutely beautiful.
