According to the tradition of the Sakha indigenous people, a person consists of Kut-Sür. Kut means a spirit consisting of 3 initial spirits: Iye Kut, Buor Kut, Salgyn Kut. Sür is an ether that holds 3 spirits. It is space where the sound travels through. Iye kut is associated with the ancestry and genes. Buor kut is what our eyes can see and what we can physically feel. It contains all 3 elements: Air, Fire, Earth. Salgyn kut is related to invisible world. A person in whom all 3 Kuts are balanced and protected is full, healthy and happy in every sense. If one of the Kut weakens, the spirits from the Lower World enter the human body through the hole. Therefore, the people of Sakha from time to time purify, strengthen and protect their Kut-Sür through the special ceremonies and rituals, connecting to the Mother Earth.
