so this year for mashland's secret santa, I got @serensawt !

I originally had a hozier multifandom video in the works, but it just wasn't coming together right. but I did see that scar x duchess was listed as one of your favourite animash pairings, and that lana del rey and taylor swift were in your favs too. sooo this is what I ended up making instead c: I had so much fun working on an edit with these two. they were so fun to edit!

hey hey hey
so round two for the augmented reality game hosted by AshX started this week. so i figured id get my entry done and dusted now before the busy period at work.
the theme was VHS / retrowave / neon. tbf the most neon thing here is the outlined parallels with kiara at the start. however the audio and visuals give off the right retrowave / VHS vibes. ( i hope! ) so with this one i wanted to do something with a lo-fi song/audio, but i couldnt find one that i was happy with, so i made my own. (the info is at the end of the video).
the story with the video pretty much follows the theme of that heartwrenching scene from bojack with sarah lynns death. basically, kiara almost dies from the fire, and simba lays under the stars with his daughter and talks to her, without realising shes dying from smoke inhalation.

whats this?? an actual animash and not just a crossover? shocker, i know.
i found an old project on my laptop with this song, and remembered that this song exists, bc its a b o p.
tbh the original project consisted of some clip choices and the base sepia colouring, but the rest was blank. (and a lot of the choices were changed, especially towards the end). the bit with kovu walking was inspired by another video by redlinelies. (it was last goodbye but its disappeared rip)
ngl I am really happy with the text, i was rolling with the old-film style and i had so much fun with it c: dove back into my roots of W A V E Y T E X T.
