Similar to Insurgency and Day of Infamy, Insurgency: Sandstorm features a minimal HUD, lacking a health bar, ammunition count, or mini-map. The Insurgency series has "slow", tactical, realistic gameplay, with moments of intensity. Weapons are accurate and can kill in very few shots, placing emphasis on using teamwork and cooperation to survive.
