A test TAS made to show a potential run of the game. Nothing in this video should be considered exceptionally difficult or not performable under marathon conditions. I did not make any attempts to manipulate luck in this run; in fact, some of it is quite terrible. This is why the True End run I uploaded is roughly even or possibly slightly faster than this run. Overall, the any% route is going to be much safer and more consistent than the True End, it's just that the sample True End run ended up being a bit more polished when I made it. When Any% is polished and has good luck, I expect it to be about a minute faster than True End.

New and improved! Still some rough spots to flesh out, but significantly cleaner route with less scan farming and slightly better use of warps. This is much closer to a proper route than the initial proof of concept from earlier. I plan to run commentary with full details on this later, but major improvements in this route:
- Consistent low-level strats for Bolt and Dragon
- Removed the Lance grind
- Reduced Ray and Galeous grinds
- Fewer overall scans
- Reduced travel time
And to be yet improved:
- Further rework heal and base warps
- Expand (or ditch) Metamorit use
- Final few battles are still scary
- Better late-game scrap planning
- Optimized battle sequences for random encounters")

YouTube ate my first attempt at the video and description, so instead heres the short version:
-The trigger to advance to the next story scene is getting knocked down at 0 HP
-Theres a special circumstance for parts of this fight that make it so you cant be KOd, even at 0 HP
-Straight Punchs stance has super armor to every attack, and cant be knocked down to start the next scene
-Combining all of the above, with careful play you can defeat Ethelwill the first time so long as you dont get hit while not in the stance
Too risky to use in speedruns, at least for now, and is actually slower in Hell compared to watching through the cutscenes and following fights normally. This demonstration is in Hard just to speed up the fight a bit; the damage reduction in Hell almost doubles the amount of time it takes.
