SNCC 50th Anniversary Conference - Now Available on DVD
In April 2010, hundreds of veteran and youth activists gathered at Shaw University in North Carolina to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), an organization which formed the vanguard of the Civil Rights Movement. Newsreel has just released the SNCC Collection, a 38 DVD series that covers the full 50+ hours of incisive plenary sessions, panel discussions and cultural programs at the conference, including presentations by U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, Cong.
