Herping during a hurricane? Yep, we did it! 🚨 My dad and I hit the Florida Nature Coast right as Hurricane Debby made landfall in August 2024. The rain was pouring, winds were picking up, trees were falling… and the snakes were EVERYWHERE.
We found well over 100 snakes in one wild night — Gray Ratsnakes, Cottonmouths, Ribbon Snakes, Garter Snakes, Water Snakes, and more. Watch us road cruise through heavy rain bands, dodging storm surge, and seeing snakes hunting frogs on the roads. Pure Florida chaos and some of the best herping we’ve ever had!
