Krackenwolf, initially disguised as a previous boss "The Great Koopa," after a decade...finally gets his own boss fight.
At first, he attacks using a lakitu cloud to throw down lightning. Once the ruse is up, his whole gimmick is blazing the arena with bullets as much as possible. There are two types of bullets he'll shoot; one that's a direct homage to Super Mario Essex, and one where he'll aim and target a reticle that chases the player around (kind of like the sniper or gattling gun sprite). He'll also use a variation of the shell spin attack from Great Koopa's fight to home in on your location.
