Excuse any visual or audio hiccups, I used a texture replacement mod for the 'Summer' icons for partners, which were ripped in-game as there is no full body art to use instead (Doi art book when?)
The track used in the fight is Rare Devil from Digital Devil Saga 2.
Even without affinities to bolster skills further (I'd be lying if I didn't say it makes a huge difference,) Mephistopheles is the easiest DLC boss in the game due to his inability to cancel out buffs and debuffs (well, he does have Debilitate, but he only uses it in the second fight.) He instead focuses on pure damage, which causes most attempts to end at the beginning should he target Nanashi too much. His most dangerous move is Growing Hate, which deals damage based on Light Resistance. WIth a team full of human characters (and two not-demons) you can see why this is a bad thing as most of them nullify light. He also nullifies physical and gun, which you can see later on.
Of his friends... (which were made playable by save editing):
Asahi: As a completely busted healer even as a battle partner (watch her miniscule health pool however), it's no surprise she would be essential here. Due to Mephisto dealing huge chunks of damage every turn, there's no reason not to use her thanks to her Awakened Power.
Navarre: Along with Asahi, Navarre is essential for his buffing capability. Debilitate goes an extremely long way, as does Doping. He also serves as the only party member (that isn't Nanashi) who can cover all elements thanks to Attack Knowhow, which allows him to use battle items.
Nozomi: She sadly didn't get enough use as everyone else were the heavy lifters. She did contribute chip damage where-ever she could, however. The only reason she could help at all was due to Awakened Power giving her pierce abilities.
Gaston: As with Nozomi, Gaston only was there to deal chip damage. However, he had greater success than Nozomi due to Gungnir skills being significantly stronger. If Gungnir didn't pierce resistances, he would've been useless.
Hallelujah: Easily one of the best party members whose name isn't Asahi or Navarre. Thanks to Enduring Cheer, he can help prevent a loss in the early rounds as Fear Darkness can deal enough damage to instantly kill most party members. In addition, he has access to True Agidyne/Bufudyne and Magic Compression, which almost makes his damage output on par with Nanashi's.
Toki: Due to how playable demons work, she could not get Hiding and Sneak Attack as passive skills. This actually turns out to be a huge problem as her damage output is cut immensely from this. Might have to give her Ally Retaliate in order for her to contribute more. And yes, as with Nozomi and Gaston, she only contributed because she had Awakened Power, which gives her piercing.
