Lowdown on the restrictions of this challenge:
- EXP gain is only permitted in boss fights and forced encounters, and must be minimised by only having 1 character active at the end of each battle.
- Autolevelling must also be minimised as much as possible. Argilla and Roland take all XP before they leave the party to reduce the impact of this later on, and Argilla's level must not exceed 12 so it doesn't affect Sera's starting level.
- This is a cycle 2 playthrough on hard difficulty with no data transfer bonuses.
- I will be fighting all bosses rather than doing a true minimum EXP run, cuz that's more fun. And let's face it, you're only here for Satan.
- The use of Data items to permanently raise stats is forbidden for as long as possible - at least until Shiva.
I did a bit of skill grinding before ascending the tower, as we want Agilao and Zanma by the time we reach the Tribhvana. We also needed Pulinpa and Tarunda for the Tentarafoo combo, else the Titans would be a nightmare. Sukukaja is a nice addition too, as it's round about this point that all your attacks start missing constantly. I slapped some gems on my rings - you need to farm better ones in the next area so just use anything you get at this point (except the elusive Pink Sapphire, more on that later)
Karma Ops x2 - guns lol
Eligor x2 - With this setup everyone should generally survive double Vile Blade as long as it doesn't crit. It also means Mazio + Argilla's Shock Bomb puts them in eating range.
Atavaka x2 - Gave Roland the Magic Ring (unmodified) and unequipped Cielo's Trick Ring. This ensures Matera + Argilla's Magni Bomb puts them in eating range. Neural Shock hurts, so put up a Void Nerve shield.
Titan x4 - This one sucks as they have lots of powerful AoEs. There's nothing you can do about double Power Wave, just hope it doesn't happen. I gave Roland the Protect Ring, Cielo the Trick Ring and Argilla the Vital Ring. Roland needs to start in Human Form so Avalanche doesn't wipe you out, then have him transform for the Tentarafoo combo. If Cielo initiates it can put them in eating range. If Roland is casting you need a Mazan from Argilla.
