Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich attends the inauguration of Maale Arugot, a new settlement connecting parts of the Gush Etzion settlement bloc, in the West Bank south of Jerusalem. Smotrich, himself a settler, is part of a far-right faction that wants to see Israel build settlements across the entire West Bank, breaching the Oslo Accords.
