‘Smokenado’ swirls as wildfires burn in Utah @WashingtonPost

A fire whirl or “smokenado” was seen swirling as the Widemouth 2 fire burned near Kanosh in Millard County, Utah, prompting evacuation orders.

Smokenados are capable of wind damage similar to weak or moderate tornadoes, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
