I’m not sure what to say about this level, I’m willing to put it in my top 3 favorite levels I’ve ever beaten.
It’s one I’ve been dying to do but the last ship was just too much, and I couldn’t go for the good ending because one yellow orb in the cube was basically impossible. I’m not sure if it’s bugged or something because apparently I’m the only one who experiences this????? Thankfully with CoS, the last ship was actually reasonable on mobile, so I hopped on and beat this super fast coming back to it.
Anyways there’s so much I love about this level, it’s super chill and relaxing, and it made me not get even remotely upset at any death. You’d think the level would get boring to play because of how slow and backloaded it is, but it just wasn’t, at least for me.
The fact that this level has one of the best atmospheres of any level while having 1.9 limitations is insane and you can’t deny that. It’s always nice to see a unique take on the 1.9 limitations when so many of those levels are only notable for their atrocious wave gameplay.
There’s so much I love about this level I wouldn’t even know where to continue if I glazed it any longer. Yes it has a ridiculous difficulty spike near the end, yes the gameplay in the last cube is straight up bad, but I don’t care, I love this level.
Oh yeah this is top 1 on the IDL right now so that’s pretty satisfying to have done. It probably deserves that placement but I can’t tell because with my skillset there’s almost certainly levels I’d find harder. I still think Bleed is the hardest insane demon I’ve done, that level was so brutal.
