I recently wanted a viewing device to see things closer while hiking and just looking out at my yard. I found the Smizze Deluxe Monocular Telescope which is lightweight, portable, easily attachable to my tactical belt, and which gives a great 12x50 view. It is highly durable (I dropped it twice already and it has survived with no damage whatsoever) and is very clear to look through. If you're looking for binoculars or a monocular, the Smizze is a great buy.
