A completely accidental discovery saves another 2 press off this chapter!

This video is an improvement from my last video on Chapter 1-2 where I completed the chapter in 15x 2 Presses. You can find the video here: https://youtu.be/ujgUTa7c8zA
Since then, I accidentally discovered that Mario can bounce off of a koopa if theres a ledge; even if the koopa cannot walk off the ledge. This is done by having Mario briefly fall off the ledge, but then snapping back to the ledge due to floor hitboxes. When Mario snaps back to the ledge, Mario is then at level with the koopa. Because Mario is technically still falling, Mario is then able to bounce off of the koopa. This allows Mario to chain some bounces off of the paratroopas and reach the top row of hard blocks without jumping.

Chapter 1-2 doesnt feature many optimizations other than GBS as Mario doesnt have any pixls at this point and the level is mostly a vertical climb. However, a shortcut found by flipping into 3D at the starting area allows skipping most of this climbing.
This video features a pixl skip (Thoreau in this case). Thoreau is one of 5 pixls that are skippable in Super Paper Mario. This is because if we manage to beat the intended chapter without gaining the pixl, the game gives the pixl to you after the chapter is over in a short dialogue sequence.
This video features two modified views to help better visualize GBS.
The first modified view (at 3:09) lights up the room that Mario is currently in as the game doesnt normally do this. This was achieved by splicing together 5 different GBS attempts, each with a different room lit up.
The second modified view (at 3:48) is a zoomed-out perspective to better illustrate how high Mario climbs OOB. This modified view also uses hacks to light up the main area.
NOTE: This video is a spliced TAS. To avoid having to reTAS GBS, I edited two segments together. The first segment is from the start to opening Reds bridge. The second segment (taken from the 15x video) is from opening Reds bridge to the end. This is why the score counter jumps down 15 points in the middle of the video. This video can 100% be done in one segment as RNG can easily be manipulated to cover for any discrepancies.

4 - To jump to the hard blocks above the prize blocks
5 - To jump to the platform with the door past the spiny tromps
6 - To jump into the pipe leading to the background path to Reds House
7 - To jump to Reds staircase
8 - To jump to the second floor of Reds house
9 - To answer Reds question
10 - To jump into the pipe leading to the foreground area of Ye Old Town
11 - To jump up the small staircase leading to Ye Old Town
12 - To jump over the large gap normally crossed by the green bridge
13 - To jump into the star block
14 - To save the game
Challenge Notes:
This is the Super Paper Mario: 2 Button Challenge. The goal of the challenge is to beat Super Paper Mario while pressing the 2 button as few times as possible. Beating Super Paper Mario requires Mario and the other characters to reach the end credits. Any method is allowed.
What does the 2 button do?
The 2 button does all of the following:
-Jump
-Swim
-Answer a multiple-choice prompt
-Open the quick menu
-Select any item in a menu
-Enter passwords
Things that look like they need the 2 button but can be accomplished with other buttons:
-Progress through dialogue (1 Button)
-Selecting objects with Tippi (A Button)
-Ground pounding with Thudley (1 Button)
-Exiting free fall as Luigi (1 Button)
Each video is only a segment of the larger run and does not consider individual level high scores. This means that the 2 press count for the segment may not be the lowest 2 press count possible if considered in isolation. However, the 2 press count showcased in the video is the lowest 2 press count with the full game in mind. This also means that each video should link seamlessly to the next video chronologically (more or less). Because we are looking at the full game, we also count any save prompts that appear after the chapter is over.
