Severe erosion along the Zarumilla River in northern Peru threatened a vulnerable riverbank after extreme flooding and El Niño-driven storms.

Engineers installed nearly 223,000 m² of a concrete-filled GEOWEB® Shoreline Protection System to create a durable, hard-armored barrier against high-flow water and future erosion. The solution was installed quickly, required no specialized equipment or training, and was completed on schedule and within budget.
