Judge Thomas Ryan ruled "no action" on my probation officer's request to modify the terms of my probation to ban me from mentioning the name of the very large, violent individual with the lengthy criminal history who led the mob to physically attack me while I was filming a protest on July 7th, 2016...
That request falls outside the scope of what can reasonably ordered part of probation, as successfully argued by my attorney on the matter, Shawn Kollie
Additionally, Kollie requested that I be released from probation, as I have been in compliance with everything that's been asked and ordered of me. Unfortunately that was also denied.
So, small victory for the 1st Amendment. Sad face for Multnomah county DA Kate Molina. Hopefully there will be many sad faces for her in the future.
