Sly-One are a London/Bristol based trio who have released on Black Butter and 887 Records: their 'Six Four EP' is a grimy, slow burning shockout of a four tracker that shows a passion for blazing broken beat rhythms, intense dystopian atmospherics and dubby urban vox. My favourite here is the gloriously mesmeric grove of 'Sweat' but lead track 'The Six Four', badboy drum workout 'Run That' and the percussion heavy 'Heat Em' Up' all do the business."
