I really enjoy using the SLR magic anamorphic lenses. They can produce some amazing imagery that can rival what’s one the market. You do have to put in some work to make the image look how you would like it but I like that process. The build quality is solid but the focusing barrel is annoying. As for run and gun use, I’ve had decent results but the focusing on the fly is hit and miss. planning out your shots would be helpful.

The pricing of the lenses is mid-tier, you could go out and get a Helios with an anamorphic projector lens and create a single focus solution but if you’re like me, you want to jump in anamorphic and start creating, this would be your best solution in my opinion.
SLR magic made a great move to start making anamorphic adaptors and lenses for this market, so I say, take advantage of it now.
