Whats awesome is that the pink highlighter has a mixture of two dyes and you can tell them apart in the solution. The laser appears orange on bottom and green on top.

This video was taken at 960 frames per second with a Sony RX100V camera. The powder is peroxyacetone, a very unstable organic peroxide. It is one of my favorite chemical demonstrations and it looks great in slow motion.
