EDIT: I sent this video to Novation over live chat, here's what they thought about it! Sounds like we may get a fix soon :) http://pastebin.com/MQRVtgpD
Why you get slow lights on your Launchpad S, why it happens and how to fix it. Simple as that :P
Other people's stuff used (in order of appearance, thank you guys you're awesome!):
SoNevable's Tetris Hero: youtube.com/watch?v=y04W3RFKxwk
Spinnin's cover of SoNevable's Tetris Hero: youtube.com/watch?v=gOArOc8ISCU
Kaskobi's Mako Beam: youtube.com/watch?v=IpWhY4_Nw44
BigMangoGaming's Mako Beam: youtube.com/watch?v=g0jDxwrIyws
ULT1MOD's Make It Bun Dem: youtube.com/watch?v=28r7XEOApkU
Also Special Thanks to Robert Jamie Munro for his pyLaunchpad library! github.com/rjmunro/pyLaunchpad
Here is my modified Python code for testing the speed of lights on the Launchpad. Run "rapidTest.py" under Python 2. This also requires pyGame, you can check out rjmunro's original GitHub repository for more info on how to set that up. http://www.mediafire.com/file/lfopfsvu11cvddl/python_for_launchpad_%28rjmunro%2C_modified_by_mat1jaczyyy%29.rar
Thanks to that one atlantic guy for suggesting trying a Hackintosh! I learned how to make my Hackintosh build here, if you want to try it out yourself: http://www.hackintosh.com I am not responsible for messed up PC's, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because you couldn't respond to your bosses e-mails this morning. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your computer, I will laugh at you.
Here are the specifications of my PC - the one I tested all of this on!
CPU: Intel Celeron G1620 (Dual-core @ 2.7GHz)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6570
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333MHz
PSU: 400W
MOBO: ASUS H61M-K
OS: Windows 10, Mac OS X Yosemite, Ubuntu 16.04 (all 64-bit)
Here's the entire script, in case you don't understand something I said (warning: BIG wall of text): http://pastebin.com/eSZjSX31
