As school children return to classes in 2026, Victorian drivers and riders are being reminded that when school’s back - so too are reduced speed limits.

Time-based school zones operate on weekdays during Victorian school terms, between 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm. Reduced speed limits are designed to keep kids safe when they are travelling to and from school, getting on and off buses and using school crossings.
