I am not a Chef just a Home Cook. I make simple and easy recipes.
I grew up on garden food and southern home cooking. I will be sharing some recipes that my Momma made and other family recipes and things I made for my family when my kids were growing up. I also look for new things to make online or recipe books and will make it and give it a try.
Slow Cooker Corn Ham and Potato Scallop Recipe:
Ingredients:
6 cups cubed (1-inch) peeled baking potatoes or 1 box scalloped potatoes
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked ham
1 (12 oz) frozenwhole kernel sweet corn
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 teaspoons instant minced onion or 1/4 cup chopped onion
1 can (10.75 oz) condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Directions:
In 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker mix ham, corn, bell pepper and onion; mix well. Add potatoes on top.
In small bowl, combine soup, milk and flour; beat with wire whisk until smooth. Pour soup mixture over potato mixture; stir gently to mix. (If using boxed potatoes mix the cheese packet in with this mixture) Pour all over potatoes.
Cover; cook on Low setting 7 to 9 hours or until potatoes are tender. (If using boxed potatoes cook on low 3 to 4 hours until potatoes are tender)
When done mix together and serve.
