BACKGROUND: Grayson, an Emory law student and Infrared showrunner, invited his fellow showrunner and part-time poet-at-large Haz Al-Din, as well as Jackson Hinkle, to speak at his university about multipolarity and Gaza. To organize this event Grayson made a deal with the devil. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the National Lawyers Guild. CAIR invited two guests; Norman Finkelstein and Ahmad, host of Propaganda and co. The attendees were Emory students and Atlanta Muslims who were signed up for CAIR’s newsletter.
Jackson Hinkle and Norman Finkelstein did not end up speaking at the event. Jackson was seen as too controversial and Norman allegedly stormed out due to Ahmad’s comments about October 7th. Jackson amicably agreed to not speak at the event. Before Haz released his full speech, pan-leftists claimed that Norman stormed out because Haz allegedly said something either anti-semitic or transphobic in his speech.
