Dark Revival was on my list of games I wanted to look at to see if I could make bosses from that game, and Shipahoy Dudley answered my question on what I should do first. This is the second boss I've made that utilizes sub plugins, in other words it uses its own unique abilities not found in the base plugin. This boss is private, therefore the only server you can find this on is Disc-FF.
So, what is so special about Shipahoy Dudley that he needed his own unique abilities? Well he has multiple melee attacks, three anchor throwing attacks, one gear throwing attack, a hand smash attack, and an anchor swing attack. The multiple melee attacks which there are three in total will of course only happen when Shipahoy Dudley gets close, the only way to dodge them is to ensure something is in the way of Shipahoy Dudley whether that'd be a prop or a corner. The anchor attacks will depend on the difficulty, on Normal up to Apollyon he can throw his anchor from the shortest distance, on Hardcore he has an extra option to throw his anchor from even farther, and on Insane to Apollyon the range increases once more. He'll only be able to use one of these anchor attacks at a time on a cooldown and cannot use them if someone is too close to him. All three anchor attacks can be aborted based on distance and use a different way of hitting players. Assuming you can run away from him he has a ranged attack where he throws a gear, while it won't hurt too much it will be enough to leave light classes vulnerable to another hit not coming from a gear. This does the least amount of damage compared to his other attacks but can be aborted based on if line of sight is clear. His hand smashing attack easily the one that hurts a lot will spawn in a shockwave knocking close by players back while also disabling any turned on flashlights and slowing down close by players for a certain duration. When he uses it it'll take him quite a while to start chasing again. And his anchor swinging attack only appears on Harcore to Apollyon, easily the most deadly if you get close as it covers a pretty good amount of area and can instant kill light classes.
Other than his attacks, you'll be dealing with a semi-persistent boss that can chew through sprint as he gets faster. As long as you can manage your sprint cautiously, most classes are fine picks.
