I started this series claiming this town "could have been", but I neglected the fact that Bucklers Hard actually DOES exist. In this Minecraft episode, I build the real-world village inside our 1912 city to showcase the only street that survived history.
While the massive "Montagu Town" master plan was never finished, the real village of Bucklers Hard remains to this day—a single wide road with small, iconic townhouses lining both sides. In this video, I am bringing those real-life buildings into the game to showcase what actually exists inside the "town that could have been".
We are stepping away from the grand 1912 expansion for a moment to build the historic red-brick heart of the village, anchoring our fantasy city in 18th-century reality.
