In this beginner online art video, you'll learn how to draw and paint a Halloween witch, broomstick and bats, how to draw and paint a sky, spooky moon, and mystical atmospheric cloud dimension. Throughout this easy online art lesson, you'll learn fundamental beginner painting techniques, including how to paint fabric, clothing, hair, hat, boots and a female figure in order to create this easy wall art autumn Halloween canvas painting. Using a limited palette and number of brushes, you’ll paint like a professional! Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #6 round synthetic, #2 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, deep yellow, burnt umber (brown), cobalt blue, chrome orange
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes
STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat onto canvas with white, blue and black
2. Chalk – Draw outline for moon
3. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint 1st layer to the moon with white, black, light blue (made in step #1) and dark blue (made in step #1)
4. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint sky with dark blue, light blue, white and brown
5. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Finish moon with white, brown, gray (made in step #3) and dark blue
6. Chalk - Draw outline for witch
7. #6 round brush – Paint base coat for witch, stick and pillow with black, brown, white and yellow
8. #2 round brush --Finish broomstick with black, brown, orange yellow and white
9. #2 and #6 round brushes – Paint pillow and skin with brown, orange, white, black and tan (made in step #7)
10. #6 round brush – Paint dress and hat with black, white, gray and blue
11. #2 round brush - Paint hair, boots, and orange things with black, gray, white, orange, yellow, light brown (made in step #8) and blue
12. #2 round brush -- Paint bats with black
13. #2 round brush -- Sign with black
