You have two options to become the Aoto Gang boss: either you become the boss by plotting a betrayal with everyone in the gang to kill Hanzaemon or you kill the entire gang and then become the boss.

Have you tried Instant Kill mode? This mode allows you to kill the enemy in just one hit. Be careful, as the enemy can also one-shot you. If you want a semi-realistic gameplay, maybe you should give it a try!

Maybe this is the easiest way to get all the Iaijutsu styles in the game. You dont have to explore all the NPCs in the game. You just have to kill four people: Kogure, Sugamo, the Gambling Dens bookmaker, and the inns bodyguard.
