I listened to this great album called "A Musical Offering" from the Soviet Union in 1971 I believe. It was done completely on this prototype Russian synthesizer known as the "ANS Synthesizer"; which ended up being used quite heavily to score science fiction films in the USSR back in the day! It was very spacey and ambient, and I love that sort of thing, so I decided to do a nice long improvisation on the Sledge in a similar style.
This one is long; actually the longest video I've ever uploaded, but I just got so lost in the sound that time got away from me a bit. It starts off very drone-like and atmospheric, but becomes melodic during the second half.
I'll give a cookie to anyone who watches the whole thing! :D
