Sunday, 24th of October 2010. Large scale reënactment of the Slag om Grolle (The Battle for Grolle) that took place in 1627, when the Dutch Republic army with English mercenaries sieged and conquered the city of Grol (now Groenlo) from the Spanish. This year the event included some 970 reënactors from all over Europe. Pretty big battle I tell ya!
I shot some neat footage with my girlfriend's Sony HX-1 camera.
Those guns were incredibly loud. I was about 20 meters away from them and could feel my brain shake inside my head from the blast. My ears are still beeping today.
