Decided to come back and try a few more bosses without rolling on this run, as of now I managed to take out this boss and 2 others. The plan is to at least get all of the basegame finished(Throne watcher/defender being the only one remaining), and trying some of the harder DLC bosses. I don't really intend to get all bosses killed because I don't think I'm good enough to do that, but if I try some of these harder bosses and notice some form of progress after trying for a little bit I'll keep going to see if I get anywhere.
So this boss is weird. Needed at least 8-10 hours to get this kill, but it doesn't really feel like it's a hard fight. For Elana you just strafe right to avoid pretty much everything, and the skeletons are relatively easy to dispatch, especially when the boss is doing something long enough where it can't interfere with you baiting the skeleton and then attacking it. If she summons Velstadt it's not very hard to kill him, but it just takes a while and I wanted to get a kill faster than my original kill that used rolling, so I just quit out whenever he's summoned.
