Since the brakesliding technique from the Wii version still works, we can use it in Lanayru Desert to skip going through the West Desert/Temple of Time area. This saves a few minutes as the West Desert sequence is really slow. To perform a brakeslide, you need to sprint forward at full speed, and then pause buffer Target and ESS Down. Link's speed will be translated to a negative value when this happens and quicksand doesn't clamp his speed if its value is negative.
