This remaster and modlist is designed to enhance the vanilla Skyrim experience while maintaining the look, feel, and aesthetic of the original game. The only real departure from vanilla is the addition of the Great Whiterun Forest, which transforms the tundra outside Whiterun into a dense and expansive forest. The ENB can be changed to suit a darker, colder, or more fantasy-like experience, but I feel that Silent Horizons largely maintains the feel of vanilla Skyrim.

While the northern reaches of Skyrim are covered in snow year round, it is still best in the wintertime to see them in all their glory! There are few things as beautiful, calming, and cozy to see the land covered in white with fresh-fallen snow. Be careful not to stay out too long though, as those wild Skyrim snowstorms can quickly become treacherous! You will see it all in this video...starting with a early morning snowfall over Dawnstar and finishing with a heavy sunset snowfall over Windhelm, with the snow increasing as the day goes on. There are 8 different scenes in this video, accompanied by music from The Elder Scrolls Online, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Scenes repeat every hour for 3 hours - I hope you enjoy it!
