Digital Foundry | Skull & Bones: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - And The Utterly Incomprehensible - DF Tech Review @DigitalFoundry | Uploaded February 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
Some say this game has been in development for over a decade, so what have we got at the end of it? Is this truly 'quadruple-A' quality as Ubisoft says? Alex checks out Skull and Bones on all systems, documenting some fairly impressive performance and visual features - marred by terrible image quality at 60fps on consoles, plenty of bugs and a poor game design. Inspired by the naval sections of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, we go back to the 2013 release to see how Skull and Bones improves on it... and how it's actually worse.
